I have found some behaviour in IE7 that is inconsistent with IE6 and even
Firefox.  I am struggling to find a way to set the height of the first ROW of

I have installed IE7 on win xp in a domain environment.
Putting the machine in a workgroup from the domain causes the following
problems -
IE7 hangs on connecting and does not load page.

I've downloaded and installed IE7 twice.  On installation on both occasions,
I successfully got the "Thanks for choosing Internet Explorer 7" screen which
gives me the option to choose my settings.  Unfortunately, when saving my
settings, the "Save Settings" button fades out but ...

This seems to be the norm, locked out of security zones, update failures,
compressing disc to conserve space, applying attributes to lose weight,
spyware protection pop-ups all going on, codes coming up, now 80070641,
everything under the sun except what it pertains to. Too much ...

I am not able to manage my add ons in IE7 as Tools | Manage Add Ons is
greyed out.
What is the reason for that, please, and how do I bring it back?

I turn on the LINKS toolbar but when I reopen IE7 it's turned off. It's a
brand new Win XP install.
Anything I can try to have it stay on ?

and if it does ? i wonder from which version did it start coming in ?

Since an automatic update I have to launch IE7 without add-ons.  If I laucnch
IE7 nomally, the window never progresses past 'connecting' and CPU usage goes
through the roof, locking up my computer.  Any ideas of how I can rectify the
problem?

I have a strange question. I am a contributor to several forums and message
boards and usually, if you have already opened a thread or even a link on a
page, that thread/link will become colored (mostly purple) when the page is
refreshed, which indicates that it has been clicked ...

In Internet Options I've set my number of days to save web pages to "0".  In
IE 6 this kept Explorer from saving any history at all.  In IE 7 it still
saves the sites I visited that day.  I hate the clutter, how do I completely
disable saving of web pages visited?  Thanks.

I have recently purchased a new laptop with Windows Vista installed on it and
using IE7. However, whenever i try downloading programs (i.e. iTunes etc.) an
error message pops up saying:
"connection to the server was reset"

We just automatically received the last IE7 version and it is a real mess.
IE7 is jamming every five minutes for any reasons, the computer performance
is totally down, etc... How could we get the previous IE back on and delete
the version we have been forced to have?

I cannot login to support.microsoft.com page, also I cannot access the
"Microsoft Knowledge Base". I always get the error message: Internet Explorer
