Our computer is just two months old and haven't gotten used to the Windows

After Installing I.E. 7.0, Yahoo will not open from a shortcut icon. It will
open when url typed in and from favorites but from shortcut icon, the page

I run MSIE7 on a modern Vista Ultimate SP1 Norwegian version based homebuilt
computer.
I think my problems started after SP1 installation. Not sure though...

As you suggested I started IE7 no addons and timed the trip from my home
page to the NYTIMES.COM

It seems that I may owe Microsoft an apology. According to PCPitstop, the
problem I and many others have been having MAY have been caused by HP, makers
of my Presario desktop.
HP MAY have loaded on their AMD-based machines OEM versions of Windows

Anyone else notice that when a problem is raised re IE7, Microsoft's  PA Bear
ALWAYS says  ' try it in safe mode ' and see if the problem still persists.
Everone always has a least one add on ( probably SUN JAVA) so why can't
Mocro$haft write a decent browser. people need Add-ons ...
