IE8 and DPI settings14 May 2008 15:15 GMT2
I have a complex problem installing IE8 beta 1 (maybe because it's a beta). I
have Windows XP. In my display properties - settings - advanced - general, I
have my DPI set to "large (120 DPI)".
Now I installed IE8 beta 1 and restarted my computer 2 times, but now in
IE7 SLOW14 May 2008 15:03 GMT3
I did extensive test between FIREFOX and IE7 and IE7 is twice as slow as
FIREFOX
how can I PROFILE IE7 to know what'S wrong ?
Before you answer, let me tell you that I did try MANY options

Anyone have any issues running Flash on IE7? We have Flash pre-recorded
demos and one of our users on IE7 only gets "a black screen with a red
triangle in the top corner". Does this sound familiar to any of you?

I updated my IE in Windows XP when the OS advised me. After I surfed the
internet some days later, I found something inconvenient concerning tabbed
windows:
1. When open a new tabbed window, IE7 puts it on the right of the current
protocol "@ivt" in zone settings14 May 2008 10:35 GMT2
I am a little bit puzzled about the protocol settings for "@ivt". I tried
some research but didn't get far yet.
Can anybody please be so kind and give me some hints on that?

Since a couple of days my IE7 has gotten extremely slow and often "not
responding". Start-up seems normal, but then it stops without showing the
links toolbar. Sometimes it seems to show two overlaying windows and after 15
to 30 seconds the screen flickers and one normal page ...

My problem is just the opposite of others in here.  I WANT to set up my
search engines so that a list of previous searches appear when I put in one
or two letters.  Auto complete just seems to affect the address bar and the
search bar in the upper right corner of Internet ...

It opens every time IE starts and settings/cookies are not saved .

Tried for three days to download this (XP Home). Finally succeeded tonight
then after restart I got a screen "We apologise for the inconvenience but
Windows did not start successfully due to . . . a software update". I tried
every option but was in a loop.

There is ONE site that I MUST VISIT...for my job.  I can view the site at
work, but the same version of IE (v7.0.5730.11) will NOT display the web
page.  I've contacted the support for the site and it IS up and running and
there are no server issues.  I can view ANY other web ...

I would like to have a feature to save my opened tabs. Everytime I start the
IE again, these saved tabs should open automatic.
It would be even cooler, if you can set up some predefined tab configures.
For example i could save a config with all my favourite pages related to php

When I tried to print a web page today it would not work. Not sure what the
heck is going on as I have read a hundred posts in different places of people
having this problem. I can print when I turn off the protected mode. Is this

Problem with AVG Free 8, Vista Home Premium SP1 and IE714 May 2008 02:17 GMT12
Installed Free AVG 8 here today on two systems - Vista Home Premium SP1 and
XP SP3 with IE7.
On the Vista machine, the installation of AVG 8 broke IE7 in opening a
second window - it just hung until the "not responding" message appeared.

Is it possible to disable the help pop up in IE7 so when i hit F1 it will not
pop up?  I would rather accomplish this without using a seperate program if
its at all possible.   I tried the fix from here
