I encountered access violation exception with my .NET application using IE7
as the web browser component (see the details belows...).
What's the cause of this exception and how can I avoid it?

How do you disable the dialog box that pops up and says "The webpage you
are viewing is trying to close the window.  Do you want to close this
window?"  This is on IE7.

When I do a Google search with Firefox, I can connect successfully to any
sites found by my search.
But if I use IE7, the browser hangs when I click on any link. Has the recent
MS update altered settings **yet again** ?

A (non-technical) acquaintance has a problem with IE7. It will start to
display non-requested pages, typically slimebag adverts at random intervals.
I can disable all addons and stop this. However, the next time she restarts

Vista Ultimate. IE7.
Occasionally, IE gets into this mode where it won't print anything.
The printer is fine ( other apps print , including driver test page ).
Restart doesn't necessarily help.

I'm running IE7 in XP Home Edition (SP3) on a laptio and all websites are
telling me I'm actually using Mozilla. Guaranteed I'm not. Any ideas? I've

There are times when I am surfing with IE7 using Google for searching when
both the back and forward buttons become grayed out.  When this happens it
leaves me no choice but to bail out of IE7 and start over.  I have tried the
esc function but it doesn't help.

Two computers now exhibit this in my company.  They're both running
IE6 (can't upgrade to IE7 - please don't ask why), version
