After installing McAfee Site Advisor, it  is "grayed out" in the toolbar
settings window of IE8, therefore I can't check it to turn it on.  If the new
"Safety Filter" in IE8 tools menu is Microsoft's answer to relace Site
Advisor, it's a poor substitute.

My company recently gave me a new laptop running WinXP Pro SP2, and

I have entered a number of URLs from Emails that I dfo not want to receive.  
I have tried a variety of variationbs including the (all inclusive "*."  Some
sites remain blocked others still get through.  I'm using Vista Home Premium;
mail is Windows Mail, and of course IE 7.  ...

iecont.dll and iecontle.dll    say these files are missing
and ieuinit.inf is missing

Recently when I go to look at my Verizon Wireless bill (for instance, this is
also a problem on other sites), I click on the "View and Print" bill link,
and IE7 opens a new tab that is blank (it is supposed to open the bill in PDF
format that I can print or save).

When I open IE, it will not open homepage. Message says "Cannot open page
offline", but I am online and I can type in an address or a search item and
get search results or open web sites. If I try to go to home page, I get
error message

Recently purchased Toshiba Laptop Vista Home Premium.  Using Explorer 7.0.6001.

Using IE7 with Vista Ultimate 32 SP1 and the latest version of Java installed
and Java will not work unless I run IE as admin. I created a new account on
the machine and the same Java works as it used to, without having to run as
admin. Is there any way to fix my old account?

Is the default location for the links toolbar above the navigation toolbar?
Is there any way to move it below the navigation toolbar? I have also used a
regisrty edit to force the menu bar to be at the top- I don't know if that
has any effect on the links toolbar, but I could ...

I have IE7 and Windows XP.  
New tabs keep opening in new windows, even though I have tabbed browsing
checked (isn't that what you want to check when you want to open new tabs in
the same window?).  How do I make sure that new tabs open in the same window?

Is there a way to remove the Favorites Icons (star and star+) along with the
bar itself from the top of the window?  It is just a waste of screen space
for me.

I prefer using the Google toolbar pop-up blucker.  I cannot get the IE 7
pop-up blcker to shut off.  I go-->Tools-->Popup Blocker-->Turn off Popup
Blocker and it will only work on that particular website.
Same thing if I use Internet Options-->Privacy-->unckeck "Turn on Pop-up

ok before I upgrade my Explorer to version 7.03 Beta, when I put the cursor
over an image a little box appears on the top left of the image with some
icons: save as, print inmage, e-mail image. Now I need to use the right
button of the mouse.

Suddenly I can not open my IE anymore.  Wenn I click it, a Problemwindow
would pop up. Then it says that IE would be closed because of a problem.
But I could only open the IE through some connections of Yahoo assisstent.
PS:I use  Windous vista and everything else is going well ...
