As of recently, I am getting a "new feature" in IE6 running on XP/SP3. I think it came along with SP3 for XP, but I can't be sure. When I get an error message in IE, it now adds a little red outlined box near the top of the MS supplied error page with "To attempt fixing

I have IE7 and I get the error message, "This program cannot display the webpage" I tried to remove Internet Explorer and reinstall but was unable to do it.

This feature has bugged me since IE5, why do I constantly get a warning when I turn off activex controls? I tried enabling "Automatic prompting" per help, but it still bleeps just like previous version. I like to browse the net with everything disabled, why the bleep?

I am no longer able to print or save webpages from IE7, and get a message saying that the file-path cannot be found. Everything was okay a few days ago, and the only system changes have been Windows Updates. Could an Update have caused the problem?
