Extra message in error pages - IE602 Jun 2008 23:28 GMT3
As of recently, I am getting a "new feature" in IE6 running on XP/SP3.
I think it came along with SP3 for XP, but I can't be sure.
When I get an error message in IE, it now adds a little red outlined
box near the top of the MS supplied error page with "To attempt fixing

I have IE7 and I get the error message, "This program cannot display the
webpage"   I tried to remove Internet Explorer and reinstall but was unable
to do it.

Running IE7 under XP-Pro and just installed XP Service Pack 3 yesterday.  
Now, each time I start IE the Command Bar displays a complete set of icons
(Home, Print, ICQ... all that are possible).  I right-click, Customize and
Remove each icon, but next time I open IE, there they ...

With no rhyme or reason IE7 seems to want to open up in a very small sized
window.  Every now and then.  I manually stretch the corners to get it to
the size I want and exit either through the red X alone or with ctrl or
shift and I cant seem to get it to take.  Next time I open ...

If I ctrl-click a link to open the link in a new tab, and then subsequently
close that new tab, I will invariably want to revert back to the page from
which I accessed that link in the first place, which is generally to the left
of the tab that I am closing. However, IE7 insists ...

This feature has bugged me since IE5, why do I constantly get a warning when
I turn off activex controls?  I tried enabling "Automatic prompting" per
help, but it still bleeps just like previous version.  I like to browse the
net with everything disabled, why the bleep?

I am no longer able to print or save webpages from IE7, and get a message
saying that the file-path cannot be found.  Everything was okay a few days
ago, and the only system changes have been Windows Updates.  Could an Update

Right, now I want to put a background image in the Select Options, I can do
this jsut fine in FireFox like so.

Okay, I have random pages that will not display. 2 that I can think of are
www.ign.com and www.socom.com. There are several others also. I have followed
the troubleshooting guide. I have flushed DNS, erased all files and cookies,
reset, erased all add-ons, uninstalled ...
