i keep getting a small error dialog box that only says "iexplore" with a red circle white x and OK. I have Windows XP pro. A new error pops up every 20 seconds or so. Doesn't matter what application i am running or even if nothing is opened. Nothing seems out of ordinary in Task ...

I recently changed my machine. I previously made a backup of the files in my old system, but now I have a problem with Favorites in IE7. BTW, my new system has Windows XP SP2 and IE7, and the old one has been already formatted :-(

When I attempt to post to this or any MS forum from my laptop, either as a reply or new question, all that happens is that the main forum page is reloaded. The reply or new question popup dialog never appears. (I am posting this from another computer.)

It seems that IE7 totally ignores the value of the "Show image download placeholders" option. I have unchecked this option and IE still displays the ugly box with the red X when the referenced image file is missing instead of only displaying the text specified in the "alt" ...
