I am running XP Pro, SP2 with all updates on a Dell Dimension 8200. After I
installed IE7 Beta3, my scanner program, HP Photo & Imaging Director, will
not run. When I try to start it, the executable, "hpqdirec.exe", shows under
the  processes running in Task Manager, but does not ...

Running IE 7 and XP Pro SP2. The problem just started today. When I hold
down the Ctl key and click on a link, IE use to open up a new tab for the
web page. Now it opens a new tab which says Connecting... and a blank page.
If I just click on the link without holding down the Ctl ...

I work in a support company and after several weeks of experimenting we've
worked out that IE7 takes about 13 seconds to start if we have our usual 50+
entries in network connections for VPNs to our customers.
A new tab is instant but a new window sits "connecting" for 13 seconds.

Running Windows Vista, my IE 7 has been working fine up until recently. I

application normally, each time I have to go to task manager and kill the

I often get this message appearing on webpages whilst using IE 7 on Vista.
Any ideas as to what causes it? It often appears in place of adverts!  Many

IE7 is showing as an automatic update, ready to be installed. I do not want
to do
this as I am happy with IE6. How do I remove it without installing it.

IE on my Vista laptop is not working,. I'd like to reinstall it. Obviously I
can't download IE7 from there and I haven't yet installed another browser
like Firefox. I want to use my old Win 2000 computer to do the IE7 download,
but Microsoft's website says IE7 isn't compatible ...

I installed IE8 Beta, played around with it for few days then uninstalled
it.  Now it seems something in the TCPIP level seems broken.
I can ping and tracert out to any site, but IE7 will not work (nor will
Firefox).
