After getting rid of a nasty virus I reinsatlled IE. Now I can't open any
attachments to my email.
I tried reset the settings in Internet Properties but to no avail.
Can anybody tell me how I can adjust the settings so I can open attachments

How the hell do I get rid of the damn Welcome To IE7 page when IE7 starts? I
have set up my home page in Internet Options, but IE7 refuse to start with my
Home page. As far as I know IE7 is SUPPOSED to start with the Home page.

In internet Explorer 7, my scroll wheel on my mouse, up/down arrows, pg up
and pg down keys and home/end keys don't work for scrolling pages at all.

Does anyone have any clue as to when IE8 is due to be released in its

Question: Upon installing the IE7, whenever I click on a link, a clicking
sound is made. How do I turn this sound off? I've search all the
options/settings dialogs and the help system.

  i have a hook attached to IE listening for WM_PAINT messages.  and
i've noticed that everytime document.cookie is set (ie. expiring a
cookie) in javascript, the IE gets a WM_PAINT message.
  does anybody know why it is doing this?  I'm not seeing flickering,

I'm running XP SP2 with IE6 and when I double-click the IE icon on the
destop I get no web browser, just another shortcut on the desktop that says
"Shortcut to Internet Explorer". I tried unchecking "Internet Explorer" from
the Customize Desktop panel of the Desktop properties ...
