I have bought HP Pavillion 6885 SE and Vista came preloaded in this. (OEM) I am having a lot of difficulty using Internet Explorer. It all of a sudden says "Internet Explorer has stopped working properly and blah blah..... blah...." all the tabs and all the instances of Internet ...

When I have several tabs open in one IE7 window and I logoff in one tab (a forum for exmaple) I have to logon in all other tabs again where I was logged on to a forum or control panel or other sites. What could be causing this?

Just want to ask why does the internet history show item that are not webpages? I have noticed lately that even if I am offline and am using powerpoint or word the file names show up in the history list like I opened them under the FILE menu on IE.

Hi, I've been trying to fix a problem on a friends laptop running vista. The problem is that whenever it goes onto the web with IE7 it doesn't disply correctly, just displays pages as text and pictures, and not in the usual framework.

It seems that clicking through various sites takes about 2x as long as on Firefox or Opera. Any suggestions on where to look? IE 7 W XP

Connected my friend's PC (XP Pro, IE7) via my ethernet cable. I can browse OK but when I attempt to download files (such as free anti-spyware progs) on certain sites, I am presented with "Internet Explorer has encountered an error and will now close....".

hi all, does anyone know whether there is a limitation to the amount of absolute positioned objects that IE is capable of handling? i wrote a very simple program that generates an HTML page with 40000 abs positioned divs and IE (IE6, IE7 32bit and 64bit) always stops rendering

I have IE7 and amrunning Windows XP. IE freezes when I try and follow a link or open a second tab. It slows the whole of my computer down and does not right itself . I have to close IE and reopen the page I wanted.
