Installed IE8 recently on XP2 SP3 and works fine most the time but sometimes
when opening a new tab it will not connect to a site. Diagnose Connection
states 'check firewall settings' but if you open another instance you can
get to a website without problem. Is there a solution ...

When you select the option to prompt the user to reboot after successful
install the machine just reboots without the prompt.

The IE that I have must be corrupted. Only ther address line, forward/back
buttons and Search button is availiable. No toolbars, no File, nothiong else
is accessible. I tried downloading IE 8, but the ActtiveX drop down message
does not appear. How can I install IE?

How do I tell IE 8 not to do anything when I hit Ctl-J (My Oracle
application within IE uses Ctl-J for itself, and I don't want my
favorites window coming up as well).
Yahoo Add Bookmark Missing from Right Click Menu31 Jul 2009 19:13 GMT1
I use yahoo bookmarks.  Since I installed IE8, the option to add a bookmark
is gone from my right click menu.  When I try to add from yahoo toolbar,
windows lock up and I have to restart IE.
Any suggestions?

Trying to save multiple pictures and it keeps saving them to different
folders!! Useless!! You really think MS would have got something like that
right first off.
I'm uninstalling right now because it's gonna save me time in the long run.

I have a problem with an alpha-transparent PNG that's not displayed by IE8
according to my intentions, but it does work fine in other browsers (Firefox,

I've just setup a test SharePoint services 3.0 SP1 installation.
Server setup is backend Win2003 SP2 with SQL 2008, front end is
Win2003 SP2 with SharePoint services 3.0 SP1. Both clean installs,
nothing else installed on them.

Running the code below results in corruption of array memory. Tests
have resulted in corruption after anywhere between 50,000 and 150,000
calls to the passArray function. Calling passArray with 1 array
argument results in corruption too, but takes longer to reproduce than

Every time I start my att yahoo mail, I have to wait while the screen
refreshed to be compatible. Yahoo says the problem is with IE. I opened the
mail with Firefox and had no problem. Am I going to have to give up IE for
Firefox?

I am using SCCM to deploy IE8 to my Vista SP1 PC.
I used the IEAK kit and build a my MSI.
When I deploy IE8 to my users, it adds an MSN homepage (msn.com) .
I am already  pushing out a default homepage thru GPO to my users, so the

I recently upgraded to IE8 but I'm having problems filling out and submitting
online registration forms. The text appears grey and the Submit button
appears inactive. I've tried the compatibility feature but nothing improves.
I have Windows XP and never had these problems in the ...
