I have many mail folders in Outlook Express 6 that contain thousands of
messages, and a lot of them are duplicates. Is there an easy way to purge
the duplicates without deleting each one manually?

Suppose you reply to an email message by the Reply command, and then you
wish to attach to the mesage few other email messages (as attachments). Is
there an easy way to do so? Currently I am doing it by using the "Forward"
command, but this is quite clumsy...

When I open a message in OLX6, the screen used to have a solid
white background.  Since a few days, the message area on the
display screen is defaced by several (usually four) vertical blue
lines, once I start scrolling.  Using the vertical scroll bar

I've archived messages from Outlook Express 6 onto a CD
and I can't open them again. When I try to open the back-
up file, they want to open in a Works spreadsheet and
when I try to choose Outlook Express, nothing happens.

When I click on a link adress in an OE message nothing happends.
I have to copy the link and paste it into IE.

i can download from the servers
the emails appear in the inbox
i cannot open them and they appear blank on the preview

I am having a problem opening attachments that come with e-
mails sent from my church.  Other people get these
attachments with no problem, but I get a message in the
top left corner that basically says "OE will not open this

I created some rules in OE6 (SP1) while playing with Norton AntiSpam.  Then
I found I could delete all but the first one in the list.  I'm also unable
to modify it.  I had to disable it by removing the folder it had been set to
move items into!

I've a problem looking to check if anyone has replied to my postings.  For
instance if I send last night and I check the day after, there could have
already been so many postings that it's difficult to find mine.  When it's

Whenever I reply to a message I top post. Is there a way to have replies
placed at the end of the message instead? I don't want folks to think I'm

Thought I was on a roll with moving all my sent and incoming emails to
dedicated folders I created, and then going back and deleting blocks of
incoming and sent messages to free up default folder space.

My outgoing email has gone crazy!!! I have had this
