Retrieving "Saved" Messages22 Mar 2004 20:18 GMT2
I have done a stupid thing.  I wanted to backup messages and clear my inbox
and sent box.  Instead of exporting,  I copied the .dbx files into another
Windows folder,  then deleted them from my store folder.  Now,  when I copy
them back into the store folder or use the import ...

Am having problems making OE my default mail client
It was ok until I reinstalled MS Office a few weeks ago
Now if I try to connect to a link on an email or web site the computer
throws a wobbly, opening loads of new IE windows!

If you change the Store Folder located under Tools, Options , Maintenance
and you point to the server can the massages be viewed from 2 or more
computers at the same time. ?
We tried doing so in Outlook 2003, but you can only have 1 machine at a time

Just discovered this newsgroup.
My brothers computer, is Windows 98.  On outlook express you can receive
messages, both emails and newsgroup messages.  You can post to newsgroups
but cannot send any emails.  There is a message in the outbox which I cannot

[running Windows XP Home (SP1) with most of the latest updates]
After composing a message in OE6 then editing it, the line wraps don't
display correctly. They are generally transmitted OK when sending the email
(or news message) but they don't appear correctly in the OE composition

When I try to cancel a posted message, the "Cancel Message" line is grayed
out. Any ideas?

I am using OpenOffice.org software for document
processing.  When I send a .doc attachment I am unable to
open it in Outlookexpress.  I get a message:  OE removed
access to the following unsafe attachment.  I need help,

I have been trying to import my OE address book after reinstalling
everything on my PC. However I get the following error message every time I
try this.
An error occurred during the import process. The import process could not be

After upgrading my platform from ME to XP, my email now
does not have a spell check function although all
controls have been checked to make this happen.

fax out and receive faxes back. I've checked the help guide of OE, no joy.
