When I turned my machine on this morning, all the email in my inbox
after 10/16/2003 was gone. Mail prior to that was there, as was the
mail in my other boxes. My addresses were intact also.
So, anybody have any idea what OE6 did with my email?

I have reinstalled my PC and I cannot read any OE
attachement. Attachments are seen and properly registeres
(eg. .pdf, .xls), but I cannot click and open them.

When I go to an active newsgroup (like this one) the news items only go back
one day. As I write this the oldest message I can see is 3/15 at 6:37am
(eastern time I guess).
So if I post a message then don't check the newsgroup for a few days I can

OE (problem and must shut down) if the message has approx. 100, or more
parts.  Where does OE store the DL parts until all are completed and it

I think I've got a bug in OE - its hanging when getting mail - nothing else
works - and now...when I click on the deleted  folder it hangs and then
stops responding and I have to close OE and reopen.... is there a way to
reinstall OE without losing all my messages/address book?

OE has started hanging up and then not responding when changing folders. It
is getting progressively worse, and is now really bad. Closing and

I use Windows XP, Outlook Express 6 and Word 97.   When I
