I can delete anything so I deleted the deleted items.dbx and reopened OE
so that it would rebuild it.  It shows up in OE but not in the list of .dbx
files.
And I still can't delete anything.

I made the mistake of setting up two identities on my
wife's computer (XP), one under her name and one under my
name.  I backed up OE to the machine; then for two weeks,
we used her OE to read messages under my identity.  Then

I must be missing something very fundamental. I cannot
figure how to find my mail folders so I can back them up
to a CD-R. I cant find recent *.dbx files on my new XP

I have tried yet again to reload windows in an attempt to
stop my computer jamming up but I get a message to sya
that it couldn't load 'MMSYS.CPL' as a dynamic link
