I had to format my hard drive due to a virus.  I used to  be able to open
Outlook Express to a small screen with a list of identities without actually
opening anyone's account.  I forget how to set it up that way.

i am looking for a tool that i can use to remind me of emails i send out
that i either need a response back from the person or will remind me in x
number of days to follow up. does anyone know if such a tool exists?

i was wondering if there is a way to change the default location of saving
attachments from c:\documents and settings etc etc for this feature to
something else?
if so, can it be changed to something different for each identity?

I've been trying to import my address book to outlook
express 6. It is a .wab file that I exported and burned to
a cd when I was backing up my pc. I had to have a new hard
drive installed and just got done installed windows

change the default location for saving file attachments?  I'm running OE6
with W-XP Pro.

Downloading on dial-up is painfully slow.
On a dial-up service is there any advantage in deactivating QoS?
Would Internet Explorer and/or Outlook Express work better if
deactivated?
