I can send and receive e-mail but cannot open attachments

I am using Outlook Express.  When I go to Reply to a
message I noticed by CUT, COPY, PASTE buttons are not
highlighted.  When I paste something from an email I
received then go to the Reply I cannot paste the copy in.

After closing OE 6 I was prompted to perform a "Compact" operation. After
this, OE shows some of my folders as emtpy, even though the dbx files are
still 160MB or more in size. I supsected the dbx files became corrupted and
after reading some articles, I purchased both DBXtract ...

To log off an identity one must go to the File menu and
then to Switch Identities and the press the button "Log
off".
Of course when you have more then one identity you can go

I'm using Windows XP with sp2 (IE 6).  I have been sending out numerous
emails with hyperlinks to a couple of WebPages.  I feel that I am inserting
the hyperlinks exactly the same (copy and paste the url from the address
bar) in each email but some of the links end up and working ...

I've moved the OE application folder and files from C: to D:, and updated

In theory, Netscape mail can be imported into outlook
express.  However, that only seems to be true up to
Netscape 6.  Does anyone know how to import Netscape 7
mail (I am using Windows XP)

A while back, we had a system that was unable to print
from OE and IE.  I stumbled across an kb article which
guided me to a corrupt registry key that simply needed to

When I'm done reading a news group and leaves it, I've set OE up to mark all
remaining headers as read. It usually works fine, but sometimes it leaves
some unread. It marks the newsgroup name with bold and a number of unread
postings in parentheses. If I return to the newsgroup, ...

Could someone tell me if it is possible to import messages from Outlook that
are on another computer (notebook) into Outlook Express on a desktop. If so
what would the procedure be to do this?

I was getting the MOST ANNOYING mail read errors and server timeouts until Ad-Aware SE 1.05 showed me that there was an LSP klingon
in my WinSock stack called LSPAK.DLL
Now, mind you, when I deleted LSPAK.DLL it killed my SOCKET stack integrity and I was deaf and blind ...

When trying to start Outlook Express a window asking for "Identity log on"
including a required password is shown. I have the option to "log off the
identity" or to create a new identity etc. I suppose this problem is due to
the installation of SP2.

I just started having a new problem today with newsgroups in OE 6.  It no
longer shows a + next to the posting to indicated the replies to that post.

After updating to sp2 my outlook would not work. Adelphia cable tech said
sp2 is junk and to uninstall it.
