How do I do this. I went to regedit and followed the steps suggested and the OE address book did merge with Outlook contacts but OE became immediately unstable and repeatedly had to close.

1. "Use this identity when starting a program" does not work. No matter which identity I choose, OE always start with the last active one, after restart/reboot. 2. If I clear "use this identity when starting a program" box, I'm not prompted to choose an identity when I start OE.

I'm using OE 6.00.29, post XP SP2 update. Suddenly, my send and receive button is greyed out. In addition, I can't send or receive messages from the Tool menu bar. Any idea what's going on?

We've been migrating addressbooks from 98 machines to XP machines (OE6 on both) by export/import to/from Comma-delimited. That offers a choice of fields, but doesn't transfer Groups (mailing list groups, that is.) Anyone know a tool that can do this?

I still cannot figure why the new email icon continues to appear in the status bar when I do not have any new mail. I have noticed this aberration through various combinations of IE5, IE6 and windows 98se and now XP. Any comments why?
