Earlier,  several MediaPlayer controls were accessible directly from
Internet Explorer and would open in a side bar whenever I clicked on a .wma
file or some other audio file format recognized by MediaPlayer, but in my

Using OE6, XP SP1...what are the pros and cons, benefits or otherwise, of
using HTML for outgoing email msges compared with Plain Text? What does one
do, that the other does not, etc? Why should I set it it to one and not the
other?

A few months ago, someone posted a list of things one should do to secure
a new computer *before ever going online*.  I thought I had saved that
post, but I can't find it on my computer, nor can I locate it with Google.

This is Outlook Express 6.0, XP sp2.  If I hit the reply button when viewing
various newsgroups, I am getting the following message
"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook.
Do you want to do this?

I have a company laptop. The company uses Outlook inside a VPN.  I would like
to collect my private emails using Outlook express. Yes , I know that in
Outlook you can set up diferent profiles. But because of my VPN I dont
believe that will work. The VPN has A LOT of security ...

When I try to create a new message I am unable to move into the message/text
area.  I am able to address the message and complete the message subject line
but I can't move the cursor into the message section.  I've tried using the
"TAB" key as well as moving the mouse pointer.

Something has happened to omy mail prog.
I can send a msg to omyself and it shows up in Sent folder but does not get
to In Box, which always reads: No unread messages,ete,etc

The numbers and upper/lower case letters are OK for messages in utf-8, but
some of the symbols are decoded into "chickenscratch". For example the word
"don't" comes out as "don??Tt". I'm not sure how that will appear on this NG

Whenever I receive an attachment in Outlook Express the file is being
re-named.  eg. "This is an attachment.txt" is being re-named to
"thisisanattachment.txt" it is taking out the spaces in the attachments.

Is there anyway of displaying the full names of newsgroups in the ng
subscription window? At present I can only see the truncated names i.e.
microsoft.public.acce..., which is very annoying!

It would seem to me there would be an icon option in the customize toolbar
section to expand/collapse newsgroup threads.  Is it there?  Am I missing
it?
