This morning, I went to read my e-mail using Outlook Express on my
computer running Windows XP.  There was the number in parentheses after
each folder's name showing how many unread messages there were.
However, when I clicked on the inbox, the number in parentheses

This problem only began yesterday - when I download a binary ng posting and
right-click on the image - then Save As - the file name comes up as
"untitled" and the file type as "bitmap". In fact the pic may be named
Jim66.jpg.

Every time I try I get a message saying that OE has removed a potentially
dangerous attachment (the database).
It seems to be OE that's doing it, not Norton AV and there is nothing at all
dangerous about the database.

My cousin cannot see the background images of incoming email unless she
manually switches to view in HTML.
She never needed to do this until recently when something changed.(dont know
what or how)

I have uninstalled ms office from my computer so now have no spellcheck in
OE. Is there any other way I can install a spellcheck ? I am using open
office now and that doesn't seem to work.

Occasionally, Well almost daily, I get a spam e-mail that is not addressed
to me. I examine the properties and message source of the mail in question
and my address does not appear anywhere in the message. How is this
possible? And is there a message rule that I can create that ...

For some reason clicking on a hyperlink in a message body has stopped
working, and no longer opens a browser window.  Until recently I was using
Mozilla Firefox but have uninstalled it and am using IE again - can this
have changed something and how can I put it right?

Since I have been using Outlook 97 upon incoming email, the envelop will
show in the middle on the screen. Now I am using Outlook Express 6, I cannot
find it.

I have quite a new system (XP Home, SP2, OE6) and after eight days of use it
developed an odd problem.
In the preview pane for newsgroups only, the scroll bar slider shoots up to
the top on regular intervals.

I know I've seen this post before and I even printed a copy to have in case
I needed it again.  Well I need it and can't find it.  I even searched
technet and didn't find the solution I used last time that worked.
When starting Outlook Express it halts loading and displays :

I want to be able to change the font of where each message title is
displayed.  I'm using Outlook Express 6.0 to read and reply to newsgroups.
I can change the font of each message however now the message title.  I know
there was a way previously.  Can anyone help me?  Please?

When I first open OE the toobar doesn't even go across entire length of
pane. (icons  Create Mail - Find)
Not sure when or why this happens but after a time the toolbar(icons)
