My friend uses Windows xp and can't open a Powerpoint file attachment,
although the viewer is downloaded, seems only way to open is to save the
attachment first, any ideas to open it as per usual in OE?
I am using Win98SE and they open in OE without saving first.

I was sent am email from a friend,with a attachment. when I try to open  the

Whenever I try to start a new email message, the window appears somewhere
off my screen (upper left corner somewhere).  The only way I can get to see
the new email window is to maximize it.  If I then hit the 'little two
window' icon in the upper right corner, it goes back off ...

How can I stop this message (In the Subject Box) from appearing  in the body

When I try to send an email by typing the email addressin to "To" box,
Outlook Express 6 will not allow me to send it until I enter the person in my
address book(name and email address). How can I get it to just allow me to
send mail to a new contact who's not in my address ...

I need a rule to filter out messages with only my first name on the TO line,
letting messages with full name through. For example pass "John Doe", but
not just "John". Everything I've tried either blocks both configurtions or
passes both.

I am a complete novice here, I would greatly appreciate your help with the
above problems. This doesn't seem to be a virus as I scanned my system for
viruses.

Every once in a while, when I reply, OE deletes the carriage return
and line feed (the 0D and 0A bytes) so everything runs on in a big
sloppy mess. Anyone know anything about that?

I received the following error message.. "The message could not be sent
because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. .... Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"....and it holds
up the whole email to every other address in the group... ...
