I close all the subfolders in my folder list and when I come back to OE some
are open, again. Seems to be the same ones each time. While the same folders
seem to stay closed. Any ideas? Thnx

The internet connection on my Server (used as a terminal server) keeps going
funny. It was working ok for the past 2 years then yesterday it went wonky.

I found a screen somewhere to forward a copy of my emails to a computer
where I would be on vacation.  Now I have returned and want to delete this
instruction so emails to my inbox no longer copy to the remote computer.
How do I do this?

Something has changed in my outlook express.
When i get an email it will show text as an attachment.
When i click on the attachment it opens in notepad and i cant read it.
how can i change it to open where i can read the text?

I am receiving messages but having problem sending messages and
getting the following error :
Protocol SMTP, Port 25, Secure (SSL) No. Error No.0X800CC0F
I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

I keep getting error message saying to many receipiants, port25..no. server
error 452..error number 0x800ccc79
how can I fix this, I am umable to send a email to groups.

My ship flies the Win2k/SP4 flag.
when I did Windows update the last time, it listed
"Cumulative Security Update for Outlook Express 6 SP1 (KB823353)"
as my only remaining critical update. it downloads and notifies me that

All mail I receive is eventually put into a stored email folder, so I end up
with a very large folder full of thousands of emails. As part of the work I
do I need to be able to search my stored emails for particular IP addresses
within the email headers of the stored emails.

I want to export my address book, so that I'll have it backed up, and when I
open my address book go to file my import/export is faded out and I can't
click on it I've tried many things can someone please help me.  

In OE6, when I attempt to File>Export>Messages..., I receive the error
message
"The export could not be performed.  An error occurred while initializing
MAPI."

i have outlook ex. 6 on both my desktop and laptop, my question is how do i
get both my computers showing the same mail. right now if i open it on my
laptop it doesn't show up on my desptop, and vis versa  thanks

It happened the 3rd time I've deleted a folder in Outlook express
unintentionally. Is there any hope to restore the folder with its
content ?

When I receive mail in Outlook Express, I see From, Subject and Received
info.    I would like people I e-mail to see just my first name in the From
column, not my first and last, too formal for my good buddies.
How do I change this?    I did it on my last computer but cannot ...

I'm getting a message pop up about IE everytime I come out of IE, it says:
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for any inconvenience.
I then send off an error report.

How do I change the text size or darkness / lightness in the OE e-Mail
listings? They are a bit too light as of now.
