Some messages I open in the Outlook Express newsgroups appear as a
page full of numbers and  symbols. Is there a way  to format the
messages to make them readable.  thank you

Hi, I have OE6 and would like to backup both my emails (mostly Sent Items)
and my newsgroup info (including all newsgroups, and their files).  Is it as
simple as copying certain files/folders (ONE folder for all the newsgroup
info would be ideal) to another hard disk?  Thanks!

Since yesterday, Outlook Express won't send mail.  My ISP checked things
out, and says that the software is corrupted, and that I need to reinstall
it.  Can this be done without reinstalling Windows XP?  If so, how?

I am trying to export my messages from OE6 to Outlook.  However, following
File > Export > Messages > OK [This will export messages...] > produces no
result.  There is no dialogue box asking me to choose a profile and select
folders (as detailed in OE Help).  Have reinstalled OE ...

Have changed from AOL to NTL and am using OEXPRESS for the first time. It is
so unreliable ie sometimes sends mail but it is never returned or rejected,
goodness knows where it goes to this includes attachments as well as simple 4

There is a long delay (10-15 sec) in switching between my identity and my
wife's (or vice versa). It used to be almost instantaneous.
We keep the send and delete folders short and compacted and regularly delete
the temp files.

I have two instances of Win XP Pro on my PC and I dual boot between them.
I moved the OE message folders location to its own dedicated partition and
OE looks to the same location under each OS.
While I can share all my message folders without any problems I found all

Someone has a tag line that says to disable virus scan in email as it serves
no purpose.  I'd like to be pointed to something that will tell me why?
Seems like a good thing on the surface.
