Hi, my Outlook Express (6) was not working properly the past 2 days. I
would get that error, you know the one 0x.....0f, and it wouldn't
download messages but it would send them and put the messages in my
Sent Items folder, but, always another butt, they weren't really sent

I am new to OE6. I have previously used Eudora. Since I changed over I keep
recieving the following message whether I have Outlook open or not.
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot
fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook ...

other email clients show who the email is from in a readily accessible
fashion. So if  I want to send a _new_ mail to the list or a person then I
can just click on the link thingy and that's it.

I've browsed this group and must be misunderstanding how OE6 running XP
Service Pack 2 handles folder compression.
Every so often (probably the 100 closing thing) my OE automatically
compresses the folders without asking me if it's OK. I thought MS did

How do I make Outlook Express STAY the default mail handler?  It asks me to
make it so each time I use it.  I know there is a way to make it STAY that
way, but I can't remember how.  It's MADDENING!!!  Please help.  Thank you

When opening OE I get a message saying "The address book failed to load.  
Outlook Express is incorrectly configured, please reinstall."  A second
message says "Unable to open the address book.  The address book may not be
installed properly."

My server allows up to 400 messages an hour.  I sent one email first thing
today to 190 people and got the error message above (code is 100,10).  The
ISP said I sent well over 400 but I know I did not.. at least not
deliberately.

Tried to reply to a msg this AM and got.and continued to get each time I
tried to send. the following:
window: Title "Work  Log On"
With Text: Enter your username and password for the following server smtp ,

I only occasionally wish to include message with reply.
I cannot find any method of using that one option just for a current reply I
am sending. There is nothing in the Message Tools for that. I have to go to
the main OE Tools & the Send Options. Then when I have finished with ...

I am using outlook express.
If the email sending to me with attachments.
How could I still keep the attachements when I reply the email?

I'm a bit stuck with my girlfriend's PC; They are running XP Home with 3
accounts. using Outlook Express 6.  Her Dad can still log on to Outlook
Express & connect ok (his mail account is the default), but if either my
girlfriend or her mum try, they get the error message:

I frequently attach images to emails. Using Outlook 2003 I can easily paste in from clipboard, but I have never succeeded to do this in OE. Is it possible?

trys to connect but get not responding. Worked fine up until I got a message
and then just hangs. Not able to delete or do anything with it now. Not sure
if there is a file I can delete to clear messages or if I'm hooped..Any ideas
would be appreciated.
