Was sent an email w/attachment; the id to which it was sent has no controls
on reading in plain text, the option in security to block potential virus
threats is unchecked, etc. There is no paper clip or sign of the attachment.

When I try double clicking or opening an attachment in Outlook Express I get
an error message as shown below.
"Windows Cannot Access The Specified Device, Path or File. You May Not Have
The Appropriate Permissions To Access The Item."

I have the following problem when I receive my e-mail the account details
are authenticated but then couldn't get mail and I get the error "server
unexpectedly terminated the connection"
I disabled Norton AV and tried to receive again but I had the same problem.

I have created a message rule to send a reply which is an .eml file with an
attachment (MSWord). However OE6 sends the message + attachment, as an
attachment to a blank email. How can I fix it so my reply is an email with
an attachment?

I can not connect to any of my mail servers all of a sudden.
Two days ago everthing worked fine, now I get timeouts. I did not make any
changes.
This happens on my laptop, Dell Inspiron 8100 running XP Pro and OE 6.
