Dear Mom & Dad:

Address Book04 Oct 2005 18:51 GMT4
After having found, thanks to help from two kind people here, that I should
have been using MS Outlook, not OE, I now need to move my Address Book from
OE to Outlook.  I have tried exporting from OE and importing to Outlook, but
no joy.  Can anyone help, please.  Incidentally, I ...

Great idea04 Oct 2005 17:56 GMT4
It sure would be nice if when you sent a message to "NAME 1"  it would go to
the "NAME 1" folder rather than the SENT folder. Anyone know of a add on
that does this?

Missing Folders04 Oct 2005 16:41 GMT12
When I shut the computer down yesterday all was fine. When I booted up this
morning and went to check my emails I discovered that OE6 is only showing
about half the folders I have stored emails in. In looking at the location
for the folders they all still appear to be there.

Disable compacting pop-up?04 Oct 2005 16:29 GMT7
When logging out of OE, a pop-up window appears prompting me to compact my
folders.  I'd like to never see this pop-up screen again, at any time, ever.
Hopefully, it will be a simple procedure to disable this, to me, annoying
feature.  Unfortunately, I have yet to find the ...
excessive paging when changing folders04 Oct 2005 16:24 GMT4
two systems, both XP SP2 patched to date, one is new 512Mb, other is more
mature with 256Mb. Both have similar folders - inbox has around 1500 messages
in 200mb file. There are half a dozen other folders. On the mature machine,
moving from one folder to another is pretty much ...

Users and OE04 Oct 2005 15:14 GMT11
I use my laptop as well at home with a modem connection, as in the office
connected to a lan. So I have 2 users: home & office. I use OE for my mails.
But I want to have the "2"OEs at the same level, and not to reload at home
the mails that I downloaded already in the office or ...
Lost Mail04 Oct 2005 14:36 GMT6
XP Pro. I've created a new domain user on this machine. Old server is gone.
New server is W2k3. I cannot access the old domain account since the old
server is gone. The e-mails in Outlook Express were not saved. Is there a way
to access the e-mails on the old account from the new ...
deleting e-mails, etc. 04 Oct 2005 13:54 GMT21
Giving an old system to my "grandkids".
Would rather not reformat HD BUT would like to clean up real good.
Not sure what e-mails, IE favorites, etc.etc. are still lurking in the
system.
Character encodings04 Oct 2005 13:19 GMT3
I doubt about character encodings.
Which character encoding should I use in Outlook Express if I want an
English speaker to read a text with non-English characters (á, ü, ñ...).
If I use Western European (ISO), would you read non-English characters (in
