I'm moving my files from my old computer to a newer one. I've transferred
the dbx files over, and have placed them in the appropriate folder on the
new computer, but Outlook Express isn't picking them up when I restart the
program.

Hope this is the correct NG, if not, point me in the right direction......
Mom's computer, Intel Celeron 1GHz, 256M Ram, 80GHD, XP SP2, all updates
current, using Outlook Express.  Have Zone Alarm free, Adaware, Spybot S&D,
eTrust EZ AV (latest version of all, with updates).

I recently purchased a new computer and now have my two computers (the old
and the new) networked.  Does anyone know what needs to be done to migrate
my OE address book from my old computer to OE on my new computer?  Do you
need specialized software (if so any recommendations?) ...

Acting as my daughter's relay on this:  when she tries to send mail to me,
she gets the message; "Undeliverable; 550 Recipient Rejected.  Relay not
allowed." Does this look familiar to anyone? Any suggestions as to where to
find the answer? All donations gratefully accepted!

When I receive PDF files on OE I can open them, but when I send them the
receiving computer can't open files. They are decode as in-line text.

Can OE6 be setup to keep msgs on the server and can it be done by email
account or is it a global option?

I'm having problems deleting messages that I have read or sent. I am able to
move them to my drafts folder which is what I have been doing. But, they
still won't delete. How do I get these messages to delete when I want them to?

I've been using Gmail for quite some time now and have been quite
