| WAB Question | 27 Oct 2005 20:32 GMT | 7 |
My old machine recently went to the micro-chip pile in the sky. Cause was essentially user stupidity. I ignored a fan fault warning for a little too long, and the motherboard shorted out in a few places. PEBKAC and all, I s'pose..

| Adobe Reader vs. OE | 27 Oct 2005 20:30 GMT | 15 |
Is there some interference by Adobe Reader to OE? I was getting really strange behavior in several newsgroups (on different servers), with messages disappearing suddenly, until I realized that Adobe was running. I turned it off and, voila, everything back again. rs

| Message store possibilities | 27 Oct 2005 19:27 GMT | 6 |
Owing to past experience I am always concerned about the fate of my emails in the eventuality of a crash. Is there any way to store Sent Items and Drafts - not Inbox, though - on a drive that is nothing more than a data store, i.e. is not in Local Settings?

| CR LF delete after URL | 27 Oct 2005 14:50 GMT | 13 |
When I send text messages to a newsgroup with an URL sometimes all of the carriage returns and line feeds after the URL are deleted. XPsp2. I Ghosted back to pre-latest updates. Clean install is the next move. It's as if the mshtml.dll fiasco tainted the box. Both

| 0x800c013a when trying to download new messages | 27 Oct 2005 14:40 GMT | 2 |
Whenever the user tries to download messages in OE6 (using WinXP Pro, Sp2), it will download the first 2 messages then stop with a 0x800c013a error code. Once this happens, OE becomes unresponsive for several minutes, and when it does start working again it moves very slowly. ...

| Newb Question. Lotus Won't Display Correctly | 27 Oct 2005 13:19 GMT | 10 |
Running OE 6, when I receive mail from Lotus Notes 6.5, all I see is an empty window. BOMK, all HTML- and virus scan-related options are set to allow viewing. The email is simple text, and is easily readable in the message's source.

| Ads sent from OE?? | 27 Oct 2005 05:26 GMT | 25 |
Is it true that OE is adding ads at the bottom of every email I send? That is the claim from a Thunderbird lover. He says I can't see the ads but the recipients do. I would dismiss this as a nonsensical junk comment except this particular person is highly knowledgeable about Firefox ...
