I subscribe to a high-volume discussion list. I would like to have the messages for that list downloaded to my local folder and then removed from the mail server. I have the following rules set up:

How can I have Outlook Express revert back to the last message received instead of the oldest message in my inbox. When I leave the inbox then return at a later time the oldest message is highlighted instead of latest. Thank You.

Is there a limit to the number of words that can be added to a rule that is set to delete from server, where the subject line contains specific words? If so, can multiple rules be set to increase the number of words? TIA

I'm cleaning out my old computer, and thought that by deleting the identities in OE application would get rid of the various DBX files in the subject folder. It didn't. Could I just delete those dbx files without any problem ?

Recently Outlook Express takes over 30 seconds to launch and I'm also getting error messages from Norton Anti Virus, saying the message I was trying to send could not be sent and I should go to my sent folder and send the message again.

My son has three messages that were refused being sent due to an error ( he said it was something like 00x8CC00) and these messages remain in an "outbox" mode and request to be sent each time mail is sent but do not appear in the Outbox or anywhere where they can be deleted. ...

One friend of mine forwards emails to me, and it's forwarded as an attachment... so I open it and it's another blank email with an attachment.. sometimes it's 6 or more until I get to the attachment... today I opened 8 or 9 and gave up.... so what is he doing wrong....
