Hi, my bruv in law has just bought a pc & a friend helped him set it up,
anyway, he has forgotten what password he set for Outlook Express & I dont
know how to reset or bypass the orig password.  He is currently unable to

I am running OE6 on two laptops. I wanted to move all mail folders and
contents from Computer A to Computer B.  I found all folders on Computer B
and deleted them. I then followed all the instructions published by Microsoft
for Moving Folders between Computers when using OE5. ...

When I send a message, I get a window saying "Spellcheck has been halted. Do
you want to continue"
In fact I am unable to do a spellcheck at all on any messages.
I haven't done anything to the system.

Hi all...I used to be able to click on a PDF email attachment and it would
open automatically with Adobe Reader. I just installed the latest verison of
Reader but now when I click on a PDF attachment, I get an error message that
says "this file does not have a program associated ...

i use an imap server and have no use for local folders.  is there a way to
not use local folders at all or at least *collapse* them so they stay
collapsed?

My elderly neighbor can no longer use Outlook Express. When she connects to
the server, she gets the message "Error 404, cannot resolve host name to IP
address." This happens whether OE is open or not.  If she clicks on send &
receive in OE, she immediately I gets the square box ...

I am used to being able to set how frequently I wanted Eudora to
'poll' for new incoming emails.  I liked that feature.  I don't see
that capability in Outlook Express. Is it there?   If so, where?

I made a new folder called -- spam -- under OE6 local folders.
I am in the habit of deleting the whole folder rather than deleting
spam mail within the folder.
Is there a way to make the folder itself read only and the contents

My wife's computer has XP Home installed. Links that are sent to her in
e-mail no longer work. When clicked on there is no response.
How may I correct this?
