I have a friend who has a Dell running Windows XP, the installed Verizon DSL
and MSN with the Mcafee Security. They uninstalled Norton System Works 2004.
It was working ok for several days, then they started having problems. When

I am asking on behalf of a friend who the other might when opening inbox was
asked if he would like his inbox emails compressed, he said yeas and now
can't find them
Any idea where they could be?

All of a sudden, OE opened showing only old messages (2000, 2001).
After a lot of head scratching I stumbled on File/Identities (which I
never knew existed).
The current identity (the one with the old messages) was "main identity"

I have Outlook Express 6 and my options are set to "Play sound when new
messages arrive." Unfortunately, when new messages arrive there is no sound!
My sound scheme is Windows Default and under Program events New Mail
Notification is selected.

I want to filter my inbox mails using the Envelope-to property, but
I can make rules only on the Sender, CC etc.

Hello, I have recently been getting an intermittent error, usually after a
period of inactivity.  When I open OE (I only use it for email, not
newsgroups), I immediatly get the following error:

Whenever I click on an e-mail link on a website, I get a pop up window with

where is download headers only in outlook express like Microsoft outlook???

I kept getting a "compress files" pop up in outlook express 6 and clicked yes,
now I've lost all current e-mails I was working on. Are they hidden somewhere
or is there a way to recover them?

Can Yahoo mail be viewed through Outlook Express? If so, can someone please

I'm quite sure this has nothing to do with OE. It's just curiosity. In
various newsgroups, I'll sometimes see a subject line like "Re: Whatever the
subject was", but the message I'm seeing isn't displayed in a hierarchy

It's only me with my computer problems - yet again :)
Okay here we go,I was reading the posts in OE6 newsgroups and my comp froze
on me. I did ctrl-alt-del for a restart.

My General tab on the Internet Options tools menu has gone away. All other
tabs are there except the Generl tab. How do I get it back?

I use outlook express for all email and newsgroups.
I also use briefcase to synchronize files between my desktop and notebook.
Is there a way I can synchronize my email messages in the same way?
