tried using the 'file' 'import' function in oe6 but have no idea where to browse to find the folder where my messages are stored. afraid if i simply set up a new mail account, i will lose all the saved emails and addresses that i had but for i updated to the new version.

A friend's email to me always shows a paper clip even though there is no attachment to the message. Emails from others don't show a paper clip on messages without attachments. Would someone please suggest what might be causing this to happen?

I have been unable to open a number of attachements all seem to be file type eml. running windows xp home addition, Outlook Express version 6. Have Norton Internet security 2006 instaled.

My new machine does not have Word installed on it, and I therefore have no spell checking capabilities in OE6. Can anyone recomment a "free" spell checker that is available on line, to do the job.

When I open some attachments, (message5 txt.) appears. Notepad then opens and all I see is every person and path the message has gone through and then about a million letters and characters. I have Windows XP, Notepad, Wordpad, but I don't have Microsoft Word.

I'm having problems using the importing function of OE6. If I copy and save all of my .dbx files into a folder, and attempt to import from there, it only reads the Inbox, Sent, Outbox, Draft and Junk Folders - nothing else.
