I'm trying to export my old messages from OE6 on a Win 98 machine so as to
import them to the newer XP machine.
Using file , export, messages I'm told "This will export messages from
Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange",!!,then after

I am running XP SP2 Home Edition on a laptop.  I setup OE to receive my
e-mail which it does.  I have   However, if I try to click on a link in an
e-mail I go nowhere.
I have gone into IE/internet options/advanced & un clicked "Always send

I think I may have accidently allowed Outlook to take over my email
collection from Outlook Express.  How can I reverse it back  Thank you.

I'm unable to send email through OE--a message appears with this error code
at the end.  Can anyone tell me what to do about it?  There was another error
code that I was able to find in an e/c list, and fixed that; don't see
instructions on how to fix this one.

Suddenly, I've noticed that my blocked list doesn't work anymore - most of
my entries got deleted, except for about 10 which wont delete.
If I try to add more to the list, it seems to be successful, but when I
re-start OE later , I find those entries have been deleted.

The "Get xxx headers at a time" function has ceased to work. I'm using OE
6.00.2900.2180. Whether I check the box and set a number or uncheck the box
it makes no difference. Thousands of headers are downloaded every time I
click on "synchronise account". Can anyone suggest a cure ...

What does it mean when one of your messages appears stricken and later
disappears from the message board but you can see it with another
identity... Could I have accidentally erased it, and how can I get it to
re-appear on my screen.

While I know that email can be originated in WORD 2002, what about replies
(while maintaining the message thread--not a cut-and-paste affair)?

Does mail imported from gmail go thru the OE
message filter?  If not, how can I do that?

Is there a way to make my contacts in my address book be so i just click on
the name and i can e mail them?

When I attempt to "Insert" a "Picture..." when constructing an email message,
the picture dialog flashes and then disappears.  I check all my security
setting in  OE6, but I can't see anything.
I can send the picture as an attachment.

I get the little envelope icon in my taskbar tray whenever I receive a new
email. I have message rules set so anything from someone not in my address
book goes directly to Deleted Items. However, even when the only email I
receive goes to the Deleted Items folder I still receive ...

A friend of mine does not seem to have as many fonts on his OE 6 as I have.
I have not added any?

I have just bought a new tft lcd monitor (Yusmart 198YP) - delivery in a
week. My graphics card is an XFX Geforce FX5200 128 MB which according to
the spec has:
1 X VGA 15 pin HD D-sub (HD15)

For about 3 weeks my outlook express has opened very slowly. Before that it
was working fine. Haven't added anything new to the computer. I have Winxp
professional. Any help is greatly appreciated
