Every time I go to open a folder, I get a search box instead, what do I
have to do to fix this up?

Noticed a couple od days ago that messeges in OE 6.0 make it to the in box OK
but I canot open them up nor see them on the preview pane. This ocurred after
outlook apparently did not shutdown correctly.
Does anybody know How I can fix this probelm?

How can you setup a "I;m on vacation" message to be sent back to all those

Hi, my Send Emails go to the OutBox, then appear in the SentBox, but no-one
recieves them, no Error Message or anything. I,ve turned off the Firewall,
Pop-Ups,etc. If its related, I also cant use any internet addresses in my
Emails to go to those addresses direct. Somethings gone ...

I just wondered how people manage several years worth of OE data.
I need to keep copies of numerous emails for reference purposes.
What concerns me is that the size of the dbx files become huge (iirc best
kept below 100MB?) which slows down OE and they become more prone to

I have a problem, every time that IE6 try to receive mail the connection is
disconnect. Where is the problem?
I checked the options and more but I cannot see the solution!!!

it's been happenning more than once that my OE rejected important emails I
was waiting for - most of them where big in size 'cause containd big photos
and they bounced back to their senders.
What can be done, pleaseeeee.

OE used to startup on last used identity, but not now.
How do I get OE to startup on last used identity? TIA.

I am helping a friend who has a dial up modem. She has just got a new machine
with XP and OE6.
The problem is, that the modem will dial up from IE6, it will dial up when
starting OE6 (unless i remove that tick), but if neither of those options

I recently when from using Outlook Express to Outlook 2003.
The problem I'm having is every time I recieve e-mails I get some both in my
Outlook Express and Outlook 2003. I only want to be using Outlook 2003. What
should I do? Please advise. thanks!

Is there some way to set a message rule to send a reply to the "Reply to"
address instead of the "From" address of an email message ??

Reply-To: <XXXX@btinternet.com>

I am trying to change my "From" field when I send a message from my email
address and my chosen name to just my name. Is that possible? Right now, it
shows for example; lobely@nowhere.com Mike....and Mike is highlighted. I
would prefer just the name Mike be seen.
