OK Outlook was asking me to compact files to save space, and I did thinking
that I would be able to get the messages back, but now I cant.  Am I screwed
or is there a way to restore the messages as needed?

I just installed the 'new' IE, and suddenly links in my emails through
outlook express don't work.
The cursor changes to the 'hand', but when I click on a link one of 2
things happen:

why do you people use Outlook Express??
i have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for ages now and i highy recommend it,
it is way more secure there are soo many addons to coose from and looks
better too , and also has awesome junk mail filters.

How can I change the location of the local folders in Outlook Express. I
would like to share the local folders with another user, so I would like to
put the folder in a location that can be accessed by both of us, ie - a
folder in c:\Mail

I downloaded update and now I can't find outlook express on my computer at
all. I don't know where to look now.

I have OE 6.0 and have contacted my ISP for help but they see no problem.  I
can receive emails but can't send.  This just started about a week ago.  
Before that it worked fine.  Haven't downloaded anything and have ran Norton.

i have installed a new hard drive with a new operating system. my original
HD is now a slave, but still has the original operating system and software
on it. wouldn't all my old email contacts still be on it somewhere?

I have not recieved an email since the 20th April, but know I should have.
Have cleared out inbox and deleted items just incase I had to many.  But now
I just keep recieving back the same 3 emails as I have deleted, closed down
and rebooted but same thing , same 3 emails appear.  ...

When I receive e-mails in my inbox, I always receive two idendical e-mails
instead of one.  What can I do to prevent getting duplicate e-mails.

Mozilla Thunderbird (at least since version 1.5) and KMail encode non-ascii
attachment filename like this:

I have two email accounts set up in Outlook express (6.00.2900.2180), both
with the same ISP.
When I send emails to either of these two accounts from my work address, the
body comes through blank. The subject is OK though.

For 2 weeks now I have been trying to solve the problem where I can no
longer (after many years with no issues) receive my hotmail emails through
Outlook Express (Version 6). I get the following error message whenever I
click send/receive which occured suddenly without me ...

when I try to open pps attachments i get a message saying "this file does not
have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an
association in the folder options control panel" I have played around with
this with no success!
