When opening OE, the most recent message comes up open, but no message list
appears.  The first message must be deleted before any other - the next most
recent - opens.  With >1000 messages, she'd like to purge her inbox ...

I use OE6 in WinXP SP2. I disabled "show preview pane" in view/layout.
Now every time when i doubleclick a message/newsgroup article OE6 opens
the content in a new window. How to setup so OE re-uses the window
already opened?

I have around 8000 plus emails in my Outlook Express 6 Inbox and around

Yesterday, my system did something that seemed odd, downloading a whole host
(9) automatic updates. After installing them, my OE 6 shut down. When I tried
to reopen it, it would visibly appear for just a second, then disappear. It
does that every time now, with no error messages.

I have a directory full of .dbx files from a backup made yesterday.  When I
try and restore these folders to OE using the Import tool the only folders
that show up as available are Inbox, Outbox and Sent Items, even though there

I have two identities in OE 6, but am only having a problem with one of them.
Every time I send a messages (w/ or w/o attachments), the message gets stuck
in the outbox, appearing to stay there, while really bein sent repeatedly.
But the message won't show up in the Send file. ...

We've just set up a home network with two computers.  Is there any way to run
the same POP3 email account on each and have the OE data sync automatically

When I close a e-mail, Outlook Express
automatically opens the next unread mail.
