when I check my email I sometime get a blank page with no emails even though

I can't manage to make Outlook Express as my default e-mail program. I try
to do it from within Internet Explorer <Tools/Internet
Options/Programs/E-mails>. Besides when I click on an e-mail address e.g. in
Internet Explorer, the machine goes into a loop and tries to open ...

I have set two networked PCs  to leave messages on server but now on both I
am getting a multiple downloads of each message. I have deleted pop3uidl.dbx
,as is usually suggested, but that does not stop this happening. What else
could be causing this and what could I do about it?

Outlook Express 6.  I know I would loose all the messages but otherwise am I
right to say that I can simply find and delete the OE folder and it will be
again created automatically, no harm done?

I keep getting doubles of some e-mails. It started off with one person who
was sending messages within our group and now everyone is getting doubles of
each others messages. Is it a virus or some way that outlook express is
configured.?

Someone I know is having the problem that when he just *reads* messages on a

Every day my Windows 98 computer tells me I need to download and install the
above patch.  However, I've been trying to do this for months and it just
comes back up the next day.  My Outlook Express 6 says its the proper version
for this patch, but it still won't actually install ...

I've just recently re-installed XP with SP2 and also IE7 Beta.
All of a sudden, when trying to save an embedded image in an email (right
click - Save Picture As ) I receive an error messages stating "The system
cannot find the file specified".

I know this has to do with the old 'Error 800 blah, blah' that we've fought
since Outlook Express began (1995? the ol' beta groups?) but I can't
remember what to do.

Default identity (Alice) and separate identity (Bob) on one logon.  
IF Email to Alice, Alice receives her email and any email to Bob
IF Email to Bob, Bob only receives his email, but then only if Alice hasn't

Allright, i got an error message after sending to someone. My email address

Does anyone know of a good free spam filter?...I was using Spam Inspector but
then my computer crashed and it will not reinstall...Any help would be

I had to restore my PC. I have a CD with my old OE data on it in the form of
.dbx files. I have copied them to the new location - Documents &
Settings/..../Local Settings/Application Data/Identities/.......
The only file that copied fine is sent items.  None of the other folders ...
