my PC froze yesterday, and I had to do a hard restart (hold power button down),
when it restarted, my inbox containing all my saved mail was not in OE, and
neither was the sent box, although my subfolders that I made were there..  
After I got an email, both reappeared, but these ...

Now and then someone sends me an email with a large attachment.  How do I
reply to that message without returning the attachment to them under OE6?

I've read the posts about going to Tools | Options | Maintenance
tab and click Store Folder.  I see where the stored .dbx files are supposed
to be located, but the folders/files are not there.  Are they there but
hidden so I can't see them?

I have 4 computers (2 PCs and 2 laptops) linked to a NetGear DG834GT
Wireless router and all can see the internet but only 2 can send and receive
emails - all are now now fully up to date so there is minimal difference in
their set ups.

I recently purchased a used notebook computer with Windows XP installed. Soon
after I started using it, I noticed that Outlook Express starts automatically
when MS Internet Explorer is running. I haven't seen it happen when I run
other applications.

I have a friend who has OE 6+ and Windows ME.  New messages appear in
the Inbox o.k., but recently all of his older messages disappeared from
his Inbox.
Also, he has been getting an error message about MSINM closing Outlook

I'm using windows xp pro sp2 and outlook express 6. Could anyone tell me
where I can change my password? I know there is a way but I cannot find it.

Hello, is it possible to copy or move emails/folders in oe6 from one
computer to another without forwarding them to myself and downloading from
the server to my new computer??

I created a custom signature, with a scanned handwritten signature AND
a .jpeg image.
The jpeg image is off to the right, while the handwritten signature is
in between text.

How can I edit OE6 Paragraph Styles

Can the above be done?

Emails are being sent, they disappear from the Outbox and appear in the Sent
Folder but are not being received by recipients.
Operating systems is Windows XP and the browser is IE6 and the email package
is Pay as you go with Virgin.

I'm cleaning things up a bit this weekend.
I use myriad personal folders Local Folders for business. I do research,
publishing, and graphics which means there is a lot  in many of these

Just got a new PC with winXP, OE6. Had some issues after security patch KB
911567 was installed - the saved .eml files opened in reply mode - this was
solved thanks to OE newsgroups! Now I also find, the little arrows for
"replied", "forwarded" do not appear on the "from" column ...

When I try to Compact my Outlook Express folders by going to File >Folders
Compact or Compact all foldlers I get a message; folder in use by Outlook
Express or other application.  Iget the message after abiout 10 or 15
minutes.  What's wron and how do I fix it.  It used to work ...
