OE6 error msg19 Jul 2006 02:24 GMT2
Bear with me as I am a newbie to computers and all.  I had some type of
Spyware installed on my computer.  My computer tech at work had me "restore"
IE prior to the problem.  Now, I can no longer send or receive msgs via OE6.
I keep receiving the following error message:
Can't access new email.19 Jul 2006 01:44 GMT1
I have Windows XP and use Outlook Express 6 for my email. I also have
Norton for security. Intermittantly, not always, when I boot up OE6, it
will say "Receiving mail" then something like "Two new emails" but
nothing appears on my Inbox list. Server connection is fine. I'm afraid
OE removing attachments from safe contacts19 Jul 2006 01:03 GMT7
Several safe contacts have sent Word attachments but OE removes them
automatically, calling them unsafe.  However, these attachements are such
things as credit applications from vendors, etc.  How can I change this
without comprising Outlook's security?

All of a sudden my Outlook Express can't send messages. I didn't
intentionally change any settings.

After reformatting and applying all the oe, ie and windows xp updates
(SP2 etc), all my old eml stationery templates open in oe6 as read
documents.  Found what was supposed to be a Hotfix (KB918766) but it
doesn't change anything.  Suggestions please!  Thanks,

How can I configure OE6 to permit me to send an e-mail reply to an
individual message from a newsgroup? When I try this and hit the
"reply" button, nothing happens. It doesn't open an email window.
Thanks.
password management18 Jul 2006 19:01 GMT2
Is there any way to turn off the "remember my password" option that is set
in outlook express when the account is first set up?
I would like to set things up so that the password has to be entered each
time outlook is started.
