Why does OE indicate that there are attachments to most incoming emails (by
showing paperclip) - when most of these emails were never sent with
attachments?

as soon as i open OE I have one message in the outlook and it tries to send
it but the message is extremetly large that the computer crashes and it just
freezes. How can i stop this message. When i click on the Outlook category it
just freezes, so i have to know how to delete it ...

I copied a mail folder with about 10 unread emails in it using cut and paste
to the desktop. My computer crashed but I had backed up the mail folder file
on the desktop to another computer. When I try to restore the folder with the
emails using OE6 on the other computer nothing ...

I am new at starting to use Outlook Express.
What I need to know is what do I put in as the "POP3" Server and what
do I put in as the "SMTP" Server"?( Or it says it could be IMAP or HTTP
as well as "SMTP")

cant send or receive
i can get my mail from the web but not from oe6
i can send and receive with gmail however
this is my error message

How do I go about setting up my customer WAB so that when I send them a
general email...I can have:

My "Deleted Items" folder is completely empty and yet the "Deleted
Items.dbx" file is at 55 MB.  I have compacted the folders but the size for
"Deleted Items.dbx" has not changed.  Does anyone know why an empty OE 6.0
folder  (on Windows XP HE) would take up so much space?

When composing an email in plain text, my text used to word-wrap at
the width of the compose window and I never used to as an horizontal
scroll bar. Word wrap is set to 76 characters in options (send tab).
Not I find I get all my text on one long line and I'd like things back

everytime we close out of outlook express and go back into outlook express,
the field Incoming Mail (pop3) that is supposed to be pop8.sympatico.ca has
been changed to this number 127.0.0.1.  I change it back to
pop8.sympatico.ca and it will work, but I have to do this each ...

Is there any way to keep those pesky messages that allude to the stock
market, and look like typewritten messages from downloading from the server?
I have tried using message filter rules such as prohibiting catchwords like
(Best buy, Hot stock etc;) but this does not seem to work ...
