That was my problem until a few minutes ago, until I looked in the NG for the
same topic and found-and applied-a solution (from garyinfv and reply by Bruce
Hagen on 10/31).  Now it works fine, and just want to say thanks for the NGs
and the MS-MVPs who take the time to provide ...

I was in the middle of installing Computer Associates' Antispam program and
the program was taking a long time to index my current messages and slowing
up the computer's performance.  I tried to cancel the indexing, but my
computer seemed to freeze, so I did a hard shut-down ...

When I click on a contact I receive a message saying "Outlook Express has
encountered a problem and needs to close", and it does. I'm able to receive,
reply and forward email.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling OE with no luck. I even tried
IE5, IE6 or IE708 Nov 2006 22:36 GMT5
I have just upgraded from IE6 to IE7 to find that the folders on the hard
disk are still labelled IE5.  I know it doesn't make a jot of difference
what they are called but I thought MS would take the opportunity to
uniformly present the new face of IE7.

Since installing IE7, I cannot open any links from any emails received on OE6.
Sometimes, I can copy them into IE7 to open, but other times the software to
which I am trying to link will not accept the paste; it requires signing in
directly from my email.

OE seems to start and run properly. However while running it I get the
following message:
Outlook Express could nto be started. The application was unable to open the
Outlook Express message store.. Your computer may be out of memory or your

xxx@mycompany.com) - each for different purposes.

products.  I can't locate it now.  Does anyone have the url please?

I am using Outlook Express. Please can any one tell me why all the mail I
get is classed as spam. Even though I know it is not and how do I stop it
doing this?? Waiting in anticipation.

I recently set up a additional identity under OE6 and XP SP2.  The original
identity has an email account plus 3 news accounts, each with several  NG
subscritions.  The new on has only an email account.  My store folder is out
on D:
