This issue has been discussed in this group over the years, but has,
AFAIK, never been resolved.
 The problem is that when a .dbx file is modified, i.e. by adding or
deleting messages, the modification time is correctly changed, but the

My OE is periodically shutting down due to this error.  This happened to me a
few years ago, and when I fixed it, I also lost everything in all files.  I
also lost everything in my "inbox" last week after I rebooted.  I went to the
MS help page after googling "msimn error" and ...

I have seen reports of something like this behaviour in other threads, but my problem is subtly different.
I have been a free Hotmail account user for years, accessing it via OE, and until recently this has worked fine.  I am using OE6 on XP Pro SP2, with all (I think!) the latest ...

This has happened 2 X's .  When I open Outlook Express, it says that Outlook
has finished configuring and then I see that all my files and messages are
gone and it starts receiving all my messages that have been saved on my
server for the past 3 months.  Of course, I lose ...

Embedded links on email received in outlook express don't work.  Links in
all other applications including Outlook work fine.  MS and HP have been

I have recently purchased a laptop and need help with using Outlook Express
on the desktop as well as the laptop.
Is there a way to see the same downloaded messages on both computers? I have
OE setup on the laptop, using the same address as on the desktop.

I have four computers networked for a church and they are currently using OE
for email. They would like to share one addrss book ... is this possible.

I am used to OE. I want to create folders under Sent Itens, but being able to
see the receiver and not the sender. If I change it on that folder, I am
changing also on the Received Itens; I will see the receiver (me) and not the
sender.

I can receive emails, I cannot send.
Error message is: 550 5.7.1 < ... >... Relaying denied. Proper
authentication required.
Same occurs with OE6 and Outlook 2003.
