I have just set up outlook expess, took me all day long to figure that
out. Now I can read my AOL mail in outlook, but when I try to delete
it it only crosses it out with a line. If I want to completely delete
it from outlook, I have to log on to aol mail and delete it there then

Some of the attachments I receive are just lines of code while attachments  
in other emails appear just fine.  Seems, but I'm not sure, that the problem
attachments usually come from the same people.  Is there anything I can do to
correct this?

I've been using the free version for a few years. Based on advice from this
group, I disabled the e-mail scanner and the AVG icon in the notification
area is greyed out.
The AVG version expires in a few days and I downloaded the new version. The

I have a question about turning off the email scanning in Norton anitvirus.  
Is there a relationship between their email scanning feature and firewalls?  
Because they require me to have my firewall off, otherwise it somehow
inteferes with their program.

When I create a message and want to attach a file, my Attach optbutton has
disppeared.  How can I bring this back?

I have adjusted the mail setting to leave a copy of the e-mail on the remote
server, but it works on one pc and not on my other one??, both are running
the same copy of outlook express and both have Win XP, ie my wife's computer

salut g un souci des potes m'ont envoyés des mails avec des pièces jointes
seulement outlkook express a decide que les pièces jointes n'etaient pas
fiable!!! donc pas moyens de lire les pièces jointe!! si kkun peut me
depaner....

My OE6 has an unnamed empty folder just above the Inbox folder. It has the
same icon as the Inbox folder, but cannot be deleted, moved or renamed. Does
anyone know of the cause of this problem and have a fix for it? Thanks.

I am not able to receive emails in html any more.  They show as blank.  How
can I fix that?

I'd like to forward an email in the same font that I received it in and
prevent ">" characters from being entered.  I've forgotteen how to do
that and need some guidance, please.

I have an intermittent problem - some of my incoming emails are not shown in
my inbox in "show all messages view", but they do appear in the "hide read
messages" view.  Similarly, some sent messages do not appear in "sent items"
but are revealed when I go to "find" and search by ...

I just applied the latest security patches, and now OE (6.00.2900.2180
(xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) defaults to French in the spelling checker.  Of
course, the language set in the control panel is US English.
Does anyone know how to recover at this point?
