I have stopped receiving mail into my Outlook Express 6. I spoke with AT&T
and updated all of my settings and that is not the problem. As soon as I
open outlook express the error message pops up and says: Protocol:POP3,
Port:995, Secure (SSL): Yes, error 0x80004005.

When I start OE6 it asks if I want to make it the default mail handler. I
always click Yes. Then, if I click Tools\Options\General, the bottom panel
says "This
application is not the default mail handler". I then click "Make default."

I have been trying to backup Outlook Express email and when I try to open the
folder, everything is garbled, numbers or letters, and looks nothing like the
