XP Professional and OE-6 are on two computers that I use regularly.  One
computer is a laptop (for travel); the other a desktop (for the office).  To
keep my OE current on whatever machine I'm using, I just transfer the
Outlook Express store folder from one machine to the other ...

I'm using Outlook Express 6 as a newsreader with Windows XP,
SP3. I subscribe to many newsgroups and have the synchronization settings
set to download new messages only. This is updated for the newsgroups on the
msnews.microsoft.com and news.east.cox.net servers, but not on other

Is there a way that I can associate .pps files with Outlook Express 6?
I have MS Power Point Viewer 2003 on my hard drive and it works with
my Mozilla Thunderbird, but not with my daughter's OE.

I'm running OE 6 in XP Pro.  I occasionally get e mail where I can see a large
blank box with only a small red "x" in the top left of the blank area.  
Clicking on the red x does nothing.  I recall that this is a problem created
by the sender.

the current modification is updated on all other computers once they connect?  If I create a folder should it instantly appear on

I have received an email with an MHT attachment. (I think when I opened the
email it said.eml) I printed the attachemnt and then replied to say that it
had arrived. The next time I opened the email the attachment had
dissappeared! In Outlook it says that there is an attachemnt ...

I've just discovered that some of my older emails have disappeared, the files
are empty.  I suspect it might be some form of archiving but I cannot find
any command to either turn the function off or recover the archived emails.  
Can anyone help???

Our version for msoe.dll is 5.50.4927.1200 (modified date 19/06/2003).
Please can someone confirm which version of Outlook Express this relates to.
