Clicking on a Web address in Outlook Express used to take me to that Web page
in IE but now it does nothing.  The only way is to copy and past the address
from OE to IE.  Can anyone advise me Why?

Since upgrading to IE8, it takes several minutes for Outlook Express to open
and then another 2 or 3 minutes to open an email or newsgroup post that's
already downloaded to my hard drive. Is there a conflict? If so, any
solutions? Thanks.

Outlook express 6 is not responding.  It opens and displays but if I click on
anything such as send/receive the 'working' hourglass appears and shortly
afterward  the computer begins a "whirring ' sound similar to when it starts
to activate a cd.

Accidentally hit compact today and lost a year of inbox emails.  I have been
reading though a lot of the treads on restoring email lost after compacting
but nothing seems to work.  I located the Store Folder but it is empty and
all .dbx files are located in a mail backup folder.  ...

I have a problem...
I have an elderly friend who has an aged computer and is not likely to
update as it mostly works fine so dont expect top performance from this
computer.

Hi, We've had a new network installed at my school and I'm tasked with
looking after the day to day operation of it.
I'm finding that a couple of yeachers log on in a morning to find that
Outlook Express has deleted any and all emails received the day before, and

I've got over 3000 mail messages in my OE Inbox, some of them with
attachments. I now need to find a particular message with a Microsoft
Powerpoint attachment, but it's from a couple of years ago and I can't
remember who sent it to me, what date it was, or the subject line - nor ...

Are the hotmail accounts due to get disconnected? I can not access
a hotmail account today, where yesterday I could.

Hi All.....
For the first time in 10 years, I had to have a computer reformatted.  And
reinstalling all of the programs and updating them has been a royal PITA!!
However....I see that in OE, the attachments will not open.  They did fine

Some of the emails I get with pictures included are impossible to veiw in
their entirety. Is there a way to shrink them after I receive them?

There is a thread that I can see (in pieces) when "Group Messages by
Conversation" is not set, but I cannot see it when "Group Messages by
Conversation" is set.
I assume I am doing something wrong.  But what is it?
