I've got IE6 on XP Professional.
If I open a "new window" when using a search engine say
Google or Anzwers, the window that opens is always too

I installed XP SP2. I used to be able to type in a name in the address bar,
such as 'CNN', and then hit 'CTRL-Enter' on the keyboard and it would take
me to http://www.cnn.com. After installing SP2, and after typing 'cnn' and
hitting CTRL/Enter, IE6 does a search and uses http ...

I can connect to my ISP, but when I try to browse [open
IE ] the IE6 error screen appears.  IE does not open.

Unfortunately, emptying Files as suggested on March 20
doesn't work to correct this problem.  Nor does the
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 810978.  I followed that
...and NO files are listed as UNKNOWN or DAMAGED.  There

For reasons I can't understand my toolbars are locked in

Recently, when trying to save jpegs in IE6, the save window is treating them as .bmp files and defaulting to a name of "untitled". Any ideas as to why IE6 has started behaving this way?

When IE 6 tries to open another window the new window pops up and is transparent. It hangs there indefinatly with th

Whenever I run a search on Yahoo or Google, I'm getting a
sidebar appearing on the right side of my screen that
presents a number of small ads.  In the properties of the
bar, it says the address is www.fastfind.org.

I have been trying to get into one site and I keep getting "cannot find server".  I need this site because I will be taking a class online.  I have spoken with MSN online technical support, twice.  I don't know how to resolve this problem.
