How do i restore the original desktop icon for IE? I cant access my IE options from inside IE because of a spyware prog. It sucks having to open the prog and change the options just to delete cookies and internet files and history.

I've got the GD web site that somehow infiltrated my
system and set itself up as my home page.  I've tried
changing it through Tools-Internet Options-Home Page and
while it'll change, every time I boot up the computer it

My work has put up a system where we can log in via its
security packages into the servers at work from anywhere -
in theory. On my WinME pc at home, every time I go in, it
runs some java stuff and citrix stuff.  I see this at

IE 6.  All temporary internet files are going to the default location.
I used to be able to find all web pages I visited in this cache.  Now, some
pages are not there.  I can find a reference to the page in index.dat, and
because of that it shows up in IE's view files link ...

when i try to save a music file link, the "save target
as" option is gray, meaning i can't select it. i used to
be able to do this, also i can't save any thing else

My son was playing around, set a password in content
advisor and can't remember it.  Now he can access very few
web sites.  How do I reset the password?

I have Windows 2000 sp4 and IE6.0
Downloading EXE files from ftp server is normal and no problem.
Downloading EXE fils from http server will NOT work. It will not ask for
where to save the file.
