My system is locking up all the time with a blue screen.  Then it unlocks but runs like crap. Anti virus shows nothing. Ran a stinger program, says that I have 41 trojans and worms.  Please help what can I do to resolve this.  I have tried everything.

My son's Dell 8300 requires http:// in front of the www.
for any website that is typed into the address bar.  On
every other computer I've used, this is not required.  
How can I get rid of that requirement so that he only has

Within the past 3 weeks I keep getting the error
message:  acroiehelper.dll   and IE shuts down.  This is
occurring several times a day - error reports are sent -

Despite downloading the latest update the ADVANCED TAB on
internet options is missing. I am unable to turn on/off
the automatic image resizer? Can someone please help?

browser windows. I must have selected some screen
formatting thing, but its awful to look at.

I just get an hourglass and cannot access anything.
Everything seemed ok (except the IE6 - "page can't be
displayed error).  I tried the LSP fix and now I just get
an hourglass.  Computer running VERY slow now.  No viruses

I want to upgrade from Windows XP HOme to XP Pro.  I've
been reading, but am still unclear as to whether the
upgrade will delete any of my documents and financial info

I just recently had to uninstall IE6.0/OE6 from my computer. Before I uninstalled the application I had downloaded security updates for IE\OE, Q832894 and Q837009 from windows update.

it tries to load it in Chinese and puts everything in

My dial-up connection is fine, I hear it and it displays
the icon upon connection, but browsers cannot
communicate.  the program is there and tries to launch,

Hi. I have a PC with win2k, IE 6 SP1, SP4 +  all the hotfixes installed.
Opening too many Internet Explorer windows messes up my desktop and taskbar
(taskbar buttons disappear, windows lose their buttons, quicklaunch becomes
gray, right-click stops working, windows start flickering) ...
