Web sites reading wrong IE Version #24 Jun 2004 15:35 GMT1
My IE Help "About IT" shows that I have IE
V6.0.2800.11106.XPSP2.030422-1633IC, 128bit. Several web
sites will not allow access advising I need upgrade to IE
V5.0 or later. One site advised me I was using IE4.0,

I have recently got a new tool bar that I cannot get rid
of.  It's name is tons knob mags.  I do not know where it
came from .  My question is where did it come from and how
do I get rid of it?  Any help or information would be

I have started getting run time errors on lots of pages.
I get an error referring to an object on the page and
asking if I want to debug. What could be causing this and
what should I do about it?

When I arrive at an internet location and wish to go back to previous site, Iam unable to do so, because there is no longer a back arrow on the tool bar.  Help!

I have an XP computer and suddenly IE6 will not finish
loading the WindowsUpdate web page, it will load the
top "banner" but stops there and will not load the rest of
the page (no errors).

I downloaded the patch Q323759 for the GreyMagic Internet
problem. My version of IE is 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-
1633. So I chose the exe for ver 6. After the download,
it said I need the 6.0 version of IE to install this

MY IE pages download but then it always say DONE BUT WITH
ERRORS has anyone got any clues how to fix this one,

I get absolutely no background color with ie & when going
to microsoft update sutes like for the office package the
text comes out so large thet I get about 5-10 visible
words per page. I have explored everything withen the

file not found. If I type in an address in the address
bar it works fine. I can't even type www.microsoft.com in

to "about blank".  I can go into options and change it and
when I go into explorer the first time it will go to the
page I want but if I go out and in again my home page goes

Like Mark in an earlier posting I am finding frequent occasions when I
shut down MIE 6 and find the process still running in the Task Manager.
I once had  8 running which used most of my system resources.  I run
AdAware, SpyBot, and CWShredder and am clean except for tracking

I am running a P4 PC with Windows XP with IE 6 (sp1). Over the last few days
when I manually enter a URL in the address bar it does nothing. But if i
click on a link or any of my favourites it is fine.
This is very annoying and I do not understand why this has suddenly begun to
